About the Role
Celebrity Cruises, a premium brand within Royal Caribbean Group, is seeking experienced Vocal Directors to join our Entertainment team. This role focuses on re-teaching and maintaining the artistic integrity of our award-winning theatrical production shows across our fleet of 14 ships.
You will collaborate with a dynamic creative team to deliver high-level vocal performance standards while fostering a supportive and professional rehearsal environment.
What You’ll Do
Re-teach and maintain existing vocal arrangements with accuracy and stylistic integrity
Direct and coach small casts (4–6 vocalists/singer-dancers)
Lead rehearsals focused on vocal precision, blend, and performance quality
Collaborate with creative teams including rehearsal directors and aerial directors
Support the rehearsal and installation of:
3–4 full production shows (45 minutes each)
2–3 themed events (15–20 minutes each)
Ensure consistency of vocal quality across shipboard productions
Rehearsal & Project Schedule
6–8 weeks: Shore-side rehearsals at our 135,000 sq. ft. North Miami studio
2–3 weeks: Onboard installation across the fleet
Ongoing contract opportunities throughout the year
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in vocal direction, coaching, or music direction in a professional setting
Strong ability to teach and maintain pre-existing arrangements
Fluent in contemporary commercial vocal styles, including:
Pop, Rock, R&B, Rap, Contemporary Musical Theatre
Talent for teaching stylistic authenticity and vocal technique
Artists & Styles Featured Include:Beyoncé, Adele, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Bruno Mars, Harry Styles, Ben Platt, Luther Vandross, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Aerosmith, Santana, Frank Sinatra, Carrie Underwood, Michael Jackson, and more
Additional Qualifications
Strong piano/keyboard proficiency (required)
Experience with live sound operation (preferred)
Cruise industry experience (a plus)
